Philips Fluid phone concept could become reality

Philips Fluid concept has been created by a Brazilian designer and is designed to be wear like other smaller devices from the Android Wear class. The name of Fluid comes from the design particularities to be bent and worn as a bracelet. To be worn as a bracelet, Philips Fluid phone has a flexible display and also, a flexible battery made by many smaller batteries assembled together to form a complete powerful battery. Philips Fluid offer a higher mobility than other smartphone being able to be worn on your hand. The most enthusiasts come from the sports area. They can wear the device bended on the hand and forget the “big pocket” problem.

Technology used for the display is a flexible OLED display. Inside the device must be used small and flexible components to permit the bracelet to be bend safely without damaging the electrical inside components. The OLED technology is evolved in the present and the probability of a bracelet-phone is imminent. Looking in the past, flexible display technology has been quickly developed and has been shown on the market in different devices like Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, LG G-Flex, some curved smartwatches and more.
As we see the technology development, the Philips Fluid phone could become reality is a short period. Imagine that you are running with your 5 inches device in your pocket. Your pocket will jump up and down at every step and more than that could jump out of your pocket. With a device like Philips Fluid just forget this problem and take your device in your hand as a bracelet.

Vaio Phone wants to acquire the smartphone market?

A new smartphone could delight our glances. Vaio, the ex-part of Sony is presenting their first smartphone with more than decent specifications. Vaio is known about their good portable devices, Sony Vaio laptops. In the last years when the company was in a partnership with Sony they released a various model of Vaio devices with top specification and technology.

Now, after splitting of Sony, is the moment for Vaio to release their first smartphone device. Vaio phone has a simple design combining the matte black with the glass material from the rear body and  the front body(display). Vaio phone has a 5 inches screen size which can be manageable with one hand.  Inside the Vaio phone, we find quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage could be extended with a microSD card at 64 GB. Vaio designed the device to be used with a Micro SIM card, more popular than the Nano SIM. It has a non-removal battery with 2500 mAh wich can provide up to 800 minutes of continuous talk time and more than 500 hours of standby time. Vaio phone will run Android Lollipop 5.0, 32 bit.

Device weight about 130 gram and will have 71.3mm (W) x 141.5mm (H) x 7.95mm (D), and will be available in just one color, black. Communication chip will offer 3G and 4G/LTE speed running in 2000/1800/800MHz band.

Vaio 5 inches display will feature an HD resolution, 720 x 1280 thru its TFT IPS LCD. The main camera will be a 13 megapixel model and the selfie camera will be a 5 megapixel.

With no NFC chip, Vaio could lose in the new smartphone market, because will not be able to pay by phone, but as a consolation, it has a 4.0 Bluetooth connection for a low power consumption.

Wedge concept is better than the Samsung Galaxy Round

A new concept of a smartphone is coming out on the public and is featuring a flexible display, actually a curve screen. This new concept is made by a Romanian designer from Timisoara, named Alin Zanfirescu and is magnificent. The concept called Wedge smartphone feature a curve display similar to Samsung Galaxy Round and more than that has a small window where you can see the CPU doing its magic work.

Also, Wedge has a shiny black back case and at the bottom has metal insertion for a high-level protection and a good esthetic. On the back, we could also observe a nice stand designed for a better video experience and behind it is the magic CPU. Yes, you could see the smartphone CPU. Wedge has two speakers down where you can find the micro USB port for charging and data transfer.

Alin has designed the device display with very narrow curve. On the top of the device, we could see the jack port and on the shiny back could find the camera with the blitz light. As we observe, on the right side is the power button made of metal and on the left side must be the volume up and down buttons, but we can’t see them. Maybe the concept features a curve display with an edge display on the left side.
For the moment, we cold just wait and see if Alin will improve the concept design.

Samsung released the Galaxy S6 and S6 EDGE, two devices like Hurricane Katrina features

Samsung will be the first producer of a fully flexible display according to a Samsung patent released last week. This new Samsung patent is related to a foldable electronic device which has integrated a flexible display.

This last Samsung foldable display is designed more for a foldable laptop or something similar to a laptop maybe a notebook. This new Samsung invention could make future devices bendable and could make easier watching a movie or playing games on the future devices.

This month, Samsung released the most wanted device in two variants. I’m talking about the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy s6 EDGE.

JK Shin, Samsung CEO announce that the new Galaxy S6 is a smartphone with high-end specification specially designed by Samsung designers for a refined market. The new Galaxy S6 has new functions like Samsung Pay, a feature similar to Apple Pay.

Both Galaxy variants are available in five different colors and the display has a Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The case metal is 50% stronger than other metal phone cases and will never be bended in the pocket like the iPhone 6.

Galaxy S6 has a 5.1 inches display Super AMOLED Quad HD wich offers a 577 pixel density. The processor used on both devices is the Samsung chipset, Exynos 7420 with the newest 14 nm technology, octa-core  with 64 bits CPU. The processor could be “spared” in four Cortex A57  clocked at 2.1 GHz and four Cortex A53 at 1.5 GHz, together making the powerful Exynos octa-core CPU.

Samsung attached the amazing GPU Mali-T760 and 3 GB RAM LLDDR4 for an unique user experience. Those three important components makes the Galaxy S6 a powerful smartphone and a high-tech pocket device. Galaxy S6 comes also with a 2660 mAh battery for the normal device and a 2600 mAh for the Galaxy S6 EDGE. The Galaxy S6 camera has new features like low light shot which can combine more pictures for a better quality. The front camera is a 5 MP with HDR feature.

The back camera is a 16 MP with an optic stabilization for a high-quality pictures. Both cameras have f 1.9 lenses for a better quality in low light conditions can be opening in less than 1 second.

For the Galaxy S6, EDGE Samsung created an application that offer the possibility to choose five different colours for five different callers which will light the curve display.

Also, the new Galaxy S6 has a new function similar to quick charge application that can offer in ten minutes four hours of battery life and for a full battery charge, the charging time is half than iPhone 6. The battery is non-detachable and has the wireless charging feature.

The price is not announced by Samsung but rumors said the Galaxy S6 price will be about 699 Euro for the normal version and 849 Euro for the EDGE variant, both with 32 GB internal memory and 799 Euro for 64 GB and 899 Euro for 128 GB. The EDGE variant will be for 64 GB about 949 Euro and 1049 for the 128 GB on the European market.

Sunpartner Technologies and Kyocera unveiled the first solar smartphone. This new working prototype is designed for rugged outdoor use. Sunpartner Technologies, a French company decide to make a partnership with the Japanese mobile phone maker develop a new kind of smartphone, one with photovoltaic cells.

This prototype is using the Wysips Crystal technology and is able to create its own energy with the Wysips Crystal from the display directly from the sun. The Wysips Crystal technology is installed under the touch screen and can achieve the sunlight directly when the phone use or kept in the solar light. This offers a new user experience when the battery is fully discharged and need to see notification or to send an email.

The Wysips Crystal is a combination of photovoltaic and optical properties and can be fitted with any kind of display. The Wysips Crystal has some excellent properties like powerful, ultra thin, transparent and the most exciting is that is flexible. This last properties can change the evolution of the smartphone development and could be integrated into a flexible device, helping him to conserve more power with less space.
The Wysips technology is integrated on the top of the touchscreen during the manufacturing process and the transparent photovoltaic component is connected to a chip that converts the solar energy into energy for the smartphone battery.

The new device is rugged  and drop-proof being optimized for activities like sports or construction sites. This prototype will be released at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2015.

The Next Galaxy-What’s Next a Samsung question

The Next Galaxy is an official picture comes from Samsung which could figure the next Galaxy S6 device. As we can see the phone is thick and has rounded back case. About the display, there aren’t specification or concrete pictures, but could be an EDGE variant. Samsung seems to prepare the international market for Mobile World Congress from March 2015 where rumors said that will be released two Samsung Galaxy devices: Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Round 2.
Both devices could feature a flexible display or even a curve display. The S6 will have the right side curved like the Galaxy Note Edge and the Galaxy Round 2 will be probably like the first Samsung Round but probably more flexible.
Anyway the picture hashtag say that The Next Galaxy will be released soon.

Samsung, the first world Smartphone producers has registered a high sells decrease in the last six months and must come with something exceptional on the market to re-acquire the first position on the market. The Next Galaxy must be what every customer wish to be.

As Samsung promote The Next Galaxy, might be a curved display. In the near past, Samsung released another picture with an intelligent text, “What’s Next”. Samsung and Apple could have a real competitor, Xiaomi Mi5 is a high-tech device with a low price

Xiaomi could be considered today a real competitor in the Asian countries for Apple or Samsung with a huge profit in just 4 years of existence. The Xiaomi devices are appreciated for the low price and the very good capabilities. With 100 Million phones sold in Asian countries, Xiaomi is planning to extend their market to USA and Europe. In December 2014 Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4G in India and They run out of stock in less tan 5 seconds. This is a real success for Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Mi 5 will be the next device with great opportunities to be sold as the “hot bread” like Mi 4 wich was launched on 10 February 2015. The Mi 5 is planned to be launched in June 2015 and will be a real test in the mobile market for the future planned extending.
